Creative Bloggies

All right- as if we didn't have enough on our plate trying to deciper the code that is the end of Alias, how about I announce a little contest! YES, ladies and gents, Let's Talk Alias is having a little contest. A T-shirt contest!

Here is the outline-

Zazzle.com is an amazing website where you can create your own T-shirts. I had half a mind to create a T-shirt for our little blog here, but I couldn't think of anything clever. So- I am throwing it at all of you! Come up with a great Let's Talk T-shirt design and the winner gets a free shirt with their logo on it! The design will then be offered on www.zazzle.com for all other bloggers who would like to purchase a shirt.

You can use graphics, drawings, pictures, quotes and such. The design should reflect what we promote here on the blog- open-minded conversation, discussion and theory about out fav show. Keep in mind that some pictures (like the ALIAS sign and pictures of characters and actors) may not be accepted by Zazzle for copyright reasons. Check out Zazzle for design ideas and the types of graphic options they offer. We want it to be something we would all feel comfortable wearing without looking like the Alias-geeks we are. Something tasteful and fun! Please keep it clean for the kiddies and be creative!! (PS. You are allowed to turn in up to 3 entries).

The closing date for this contest is...you guessed it, May 22nd, our official day of mourning. Submit your design to me via e-mail, with your name and mailing address, on or before this date and SRG, Jenn and I will pick the winner. You can create your logo in Word, Paint or PDF. The winner's logo will be posted on the blog and then the shirts will be offered.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!! E-mail me at girlscout35@hotmail.com if you have any questions or comments.
PS. "Ooh Child" is on the radio right now! Aaahhh!!

aw damn, does that mean I don't get to make up a design cuz I'm a judge?? :) Great idea though GS, love it! How sad is it that the last day of Alias is the day before my bday??

Oh No SRG! Will have to celebrate anyways!! You could enter the contest anonymously and just don't vote for your own. Jenn and I aren't bias! We will be fair and square!

I would say yes to that...maybe a limit of 3, what do you think girls?

Sure, 3 sounds good.

fun idea! is there a way we could see some or all of the designs once the contest is over? I'd love to see what everyone comes up with.

my first idea (though I won't be able to submit a design) was "Let's Talk Alias- where our loyalaties are NOT flexible." :) ala one of my favorite lines.

Lisa!! You should totally make a shirt, that is a great line!! If you don't to submit, maybe SRG can take that quote and use it in one of hers. Giving you props ofcourse. And I will for sure post all of the designs so everyone can see.

No character names are allowed, I was saying some pictures won't be accepted by the site. You can use names for sure.

thanks, guys! yeah, I'd love to do one but I have 4 kids under 4 and ZERO time (except to read the blog, of course....(plus my graphics skills are about 6 years old, since my GD minor in college)
but you guys go at it and have fun! I can't wait to see them. and I think we are all the "real" Syndey Bristows- all cloned! haha awesome idea Jenn!

You should tell everyone to include "Let's Talk Alias" in the design name, so when you search on zazzle, all the contest entries come up in the same place. Just a thought...

Lisa - how about: "Where Our Loyalties Lie" on the front and
"Let's Talk Alias" on the back?

GS - just to clarify, when you said "No character names are allowed", I think you meant that no, it's ok to use characters names, just not pictures, right?

Right. You can use names and pictures, but some pics might not be accepted by Zazzle. So, it's best not to use them.
