Scene Cap of the Week

"Not if I see you first, love."

Man I loved that moment. This episode from season 3 entitled "Taken" is probably one of my least favorites of the season, but that end moment, the second where you know that Jack knows, is so worth it. I remember seeing it for the first time and being so excited because I knew this meant Lauren would (eventually) be found out. If Jack suspects you of something, there's no way in hell you'll get away with it. I think one of the best things about that ending was Jack had just commended Lauren and Vaughn on "helping" Dixon, not knowing Lauren had really done it all just for the Covenant. Her making that one little slip cost her everything in the end.

This was not-so-much a cliffhanger episode ending, but more like a moment of realization that from then on things were going to be different, something big was about to happen. What other Alias "realization" moments come to mind for you?

I loved the Vaughn and Jack moment in this one too. The moment pictured here where Jack realizes about Lauren is fantastic. So much ran through my mind at that moment with the final thought being, "Yes! Jack's got you now and you can't escape!"

I love the moment from early in this season where Vaughn and Syd go on a mission to some fancy party...she looked gorgeous in a red, formal dress...he looks at her from across the room and they give each other these little, tenative smiles...it's at that moment, you just know they will "find each other"...love it! I used to really dislike season 3, but now, some of my favorite moments come from this season.

Thanks SRG for posting. I was just thinking, man, I have been neglecting LTA! Sadly though, I think I have already posted this a pic of the day. HAHAHA! Oh, well, I love your take on it!

You all said everything I was thinking when seeing this scene for the first time. Along with those thoughts were thousands of goosebumps, the shivers, and renewed excitement and faith that everything would work out for Syd.

One other moment of realization (and I'm sure there are many more) recently covered here was when we learned that Sloane had orchestrated the takedown of SD6. With that great Alias music playing in the background, we saw him walk down the beach, knock on the door and tell Emily that they were finally free as we see her arm with the bandaged finger wrap around his amoral body. It was like "OHHHHHH! I get it!" That was a brilliant plot twist.

Jack Bristow is fully engaged at all times. His face should be on a stamp, he's that good.

Realization Moment? Francinator realizing she was enjoying the wrong flavour of ice cream. Sydney sets a trap with ice cream. I love it.

Bring back the Bristows!

I loved it too! Plus I love that Jack caught onto to Lauren so quickly with just that little phrase! I love Jack!!!

I always thought they would discover Lauren's evilness from the first second she was revealed as an evil Lazarey killing double, this of course came to me as I was jumping up and down in my living room because it meant Syd and Vaughn could get back together!!! I think I was yelling "the b*tch is evil"! So then came the waiting game, when are they gonna figure it out, and whoo Jack comes along and starts the ball rolling!!! I knew then everyone else would figure it out soon too!

Kelhat- Season three was tough to get through because it was so heartbreaking to see Syd's life and Syd and Vaughn's relationship destroyed. Add in Sloane being free and it's a whole lot to handle when you don't know where it's going. It was a tough year in the world of Alias but of course now we know it gets better so it’s easier to enjoy!

Kellie- Yup! Sloane is such a masterful strategist!

Page48- Everyone from Alias should have a stamp!!! That would be so cool!!! Oh and the Francie ice cream moment was great!!! Guilt by frozen treat association!

Is anyone on the blog in RI? I'm at Providence College now studying my booty off!

Ahh, sorry GS/Kiki, didn't mean to repost a picture! I just watched that episode a couple nights ago so it was fresh in my memory, I should have done a little blog research first to make sure I wasn't duplicating, sorry. :-\

Doppel and uncle - are you thinking of the episode where Jack was in Mexico and had Lauren and Vaughn held for a couple hours while he killed the witness who was about to out Syd as Julia/Lazaray's murderer? Vaughn has a great confrontation w/ Jack in that one, but that's earlier in the season. I don't remember a Vaughn/Jack moment from this eppy, I'm curious which one you're thinking of.

Kelhat I totally agree about that moment, I think it's the first time we really see longing between the two of them for each other in that season. Kelli and page48, totally awesome moments too, good calls!

No worries on the duplication, I love this scene. So slick. I am pretty sure I wanted to kiss the writers after this moment, bringing it all back, making everything fit. It was classic Alias. Moments like this are just 10 times more exciting to me than all the guns and bombs and kick butt. That stuff is just a bonus to accompany the good writing.

Me miss the Bristow's too!
(You wanna know something... I have a feeling we will be seeing the Bristow's sooner than you think.)

OK, Girlscout, you have to tell what that means!!! Do you know something? Have you heard something? Talk about your cliff-hanger endings! :)

HOW can you say something like that "I think we'll see the Bristows real soon" and leave us hanging??? Another of my favorite realization moments was in Season 2 when Syd realizes Jack had set Irina up in Madagascar, and had "programmed" her to be a spy. She confronts him in the rain (oh, how that scene hurt) and then went to Vaughn...sigh...

Kiki said...

I just have a feeling in my gut. JG should be finishing up her spy movie here soon and then what? She has to be missing Sydney, her day job. And VG, though his character on Justice is pretty fun, he has to be missing Jack, not to mention JG!(Jack could have fallen in the strange Rambaldi red goo, he could have survived) Come on, really, how much longer can they stand it?

After next week, shows will gamble with the ratings. Some will lose and everyone will realize, hey, what happened to that action packed drama about the chick in the CIA? It's going to be back. There is too much story to tell folks.

Kiki said...

Oh, and Sark is still out there. The writers may stink but they wouldn't leave a saucy dish like that out there and not tell us what happened.

And Rachel and Dixon, still in the biz. Weiss is at the White House, Peyton is wondering the planet somewhere. Katya Derevko. There are still plenty of characters.

Page48 said...

That's powerful positive thinking, GS...and I like it!

I like to think JG misses Sydney at least half as much as I do.

kelhat said...

Oooooh! You people give me hope. Let's bring it back! With double dose of Michael Vartan, please. I would love to see Jen and Victor together again, too.

Kiki said...

Or perhaps a little JG on Justice. A guilty client maybe? A new lawyer?

srg-alias said...

LOL, I love calling Sark a "saucy dish"! That would be so cool if they did do some kind of reunion thing. We can always dream...

SRG-
Yes, that is the episode I was thinking about. I had just seen it and it was so fresh in my mind that I jumped to it out of sequence.
