Six Degrees

In honor of JJ's new show, Six Degrees, which will be debuting this fall, I wanted you all to know that I am connected to Alias by three degrees.

I went to high school with young film director Jordan Albertsen (The Standard- which, by the way, was filmed at my old high school). He worked on the set of Hollywood Homicides, starring Josh Harnett, Harrison Ford and... SpyMama Lena Olin. Thus, Lena Olin worked with JG on Alias, as well as everyone else on the set. So, I have a 3 degree link to JJ and the whole gang. Super! Ohh, four degrees from Ben Affleck and Baby Vi. Weird. Five degrees to Matt Damon, and finally six to Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt and George Clooney, whom he worked with Oceans 11, 12, and now 13.

And by association, you too now are connected to them, through me.

Oh and PS. My second cousin Amanda played the kooky babysitter, Clarice, in Sleepless in Seattle. Hilarious! So, one degree to Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan... I could go on forever.

Sounds like you're in deep with the stars, GS. Good work. The plan is coming together.

Well, Barry Watson was on 7th Heaven and now he is on What About Brian? which is a JJ Abrams show.

Nice, Jenn, that's a good one. Johnny Depp, to Winona Ryder in Edward Scirror Hands. Ryder dated Matt Damon, who is friends with Ben Affleck who is married to Jennifer Garner.

Or Johnny Depp did Neverland with Kate Winslet, who did Titanic with Victor Garber, oh and with Kathy Bates, who was in Failure to Launch with Sara Jessica Parker who did an episode of Sex and the City with Rachel Gibson and Ron Rifkin. It all goes back to Alias.

Or Julia was in Steel magnolias with Sally Field, who is on ER on which George Clooney had a role, who directed "Good Night..." about Edward R. Murrow who went to WSU, which is where I went to school!

Here's some of mine, but I don't know where they all lead as far as Alias:
My nephew was asked for directions by Victor Garber in NYC.

My wife's cousin is a 2 time Grammy award winning opera star and knows eveyone in that world. She was also in the movie The Greatest Game Ever Played.

A friend of mine knew the prop man who was killed on JG's latest movie set.

There may be more, but I'm too fried right now to think of them.

I'm not too good at drawing the connections anymore, but here are my star sightings/connections, mostly from airports and when I lived in southern California:

- I "met" Sarah Jessica Parker when she gave an anti-drugs talk to my dorm hall in 1988
- I waited on Cindy Williams (Laverne and Shirley) when I worked at a department store in high school
- Tawny Kitaen and I had an actual, unsolicited conversation while walking down the jetway at the Philadelphia airport about how mad she was at her boyfriend for not helping her carry her stuff
- Heather Locklear and Belinda Carlisle went to my high scool (HL left for her senior year)
- When I was in high school, I went to a Days of Our Lives charity baseball game and got autographs of the 80's stars (like Bo, Hope, Jennifer, etc.) - I know I had no life then
- I literally bumped into Rena Sofer at a southern California mall last Christmas
