Fight Scene: Um, duh, Syd and Evil Francie in the season finale.
GS’s pick: I concur. Brutal fight! Love it!

GS’s pick: I second this!

GS’s pick: It was a toss for me between AG Doren and Irina.

Father/Daughter Moment: Jack calls Sydney and uses their code to tell her he has been compromised by Geiger- “Take Surface street…”
GS’s pick: I would have to go with Sydney confronting her father about Project Christmas, in the rain.

Song: “Walk On” by U2 and “Slumber My Darling” by Alison Krauss.
GS’s pick: Um, hello, “God Put a Smile on Your Face” Coldplay

Tear-jerker: Vaughn tells Sydney she has been missing for 2 years.
GS’s pick: When Sydney visits her mother for the first time and she breaks down in the hallway.

Syd/Vaughn Moment: The kiss in SD-6.
GS’s pick: The flirting corner when Vaughn says he has a hard time focusing and all he can think about is kissing Sydney. She blushes, it’s so damn cute!

Line: “My loyalties are flexible.” –Sark
GS’s pick: “You are a plague on my life…” Syd’s speech to Sloane.

Funny Moment: When Marshall asks Vaughn about the details of the Ford Focus.

GS’s pick: I agree. Love it!

Sloane Moment: Sloane calls Sydney on the day of her graduation.
GS’s pick: Hell yeah, best ever!

Kendall Moment: “Civilians aren’t authorized to be in this facility, let alone have access to a terrorist we can’t even acknowledge is in our custody! In or out kiddo, you can’t hae it both ways.”
GS’s pick: I love Terry O’Quinn for this moment alone!

Mother/Daughter Moment: Irina appears at the ice rink to warn Sydney and explain her actions.
GS’s pick: I love the hug they share on the roof of the prison facility. Guns are drawn and they both back away with their hands up. They finally surrender to each other!

Irina/Jack Moment: Jack and Irina reminisce about a toaster/vodka incident when Sydney was young.
GS’s pick: I love when Irina discovers that Jack put another tracer on her.

Nice selection of winners. I'm surprise that the Geisha in Counteragent was not selected as best Alias.

And yes, it HOT all over! How can I go about getting the cds?

Hey..great pics all around. A lot of them were my own...I agonized over Marshall's best gadget, but had to go with the jacket with the parachute, just because that whole scene was great.

You are killing me!! I will have to sneak in some season 3 watching this week.

I feel like SUCH a dunce! I have watched all seasons so many times and so often out of order (and often just listening while I work) that I totally forgot the Evil Francie/Syd fight was in S2. I am only on S2/E7 right now, so I didn't have a refresher.
Yes. Absolutely the best fight of S2.
uncle111 with dunce I.D. for now.

oh, I like the new ideas for extweeks award. Hmm, favorite uest star and avrite Syd-Vaughn_lauren moment! Nice GS, love it.

BTW, are we scrapping teh bookclub idea?

Kiki said...

No, I would like to continue with the books, but I am overloaded with blog prep right now. I need to get the 3rd book soon. I might order it today and read next week. What are you thinking Jenn?

I was just wondering about it, that's all. I've had it on my nightstand for a few weeks now, and wasn't sure if we were going to keep going. I think we both agreed that they were a little on the cheesy side, but it's still fun to see Syd in the beginning, her relationship with Noah just starting to take off, her non-relationship with Jack, etc.

If we weren't moving on, I wasn't going to bother getting the next book anytime soon. I have a 3 hour plane ride with Giana next week, and with the WONDERFUL invention of portable DVD players (with headphones of course), I will have plenty of time to rip though a book each way.

PS- sorry about the spelling probelms on my previous post, I was trying to type quickly before Giana got up from her nap, and the humidity here is KILLING my contacts, I can't see worth crap.

Hahaha! You are so funny! I think I might continure to read them, but maybe not post as much on them. I want to get to the APO series at least to see if they are any better.

YAY! I finally picked many of the more popular moments (I missed a ton with the Season 1 vote)! I don't have the DVDs, so I was trying to remember by reading recaps and that just doesn't cut it.

Forgot about the Marshall vest with parachute. I voted for the turbo suitcase thing, but I would probably change it to the parachute. That was an awesome episode.

Girlscout, what about a category for best stunt/special effect? Or would that go under best scene? For example, I love when Irina jumps off the building and shoots her way into the 18th or 19th floor, and in Season 4? when Syd is in the red lingerie and opens that plane doors and manages to jump out without being sucked into the engines, or when the team jumps out of the plane and sees the giant meuller device at the end of S4. There are so many GREAT stunts/special effects!

I have read a couple from the APO series and thought they were a little bit better.

Girlscout-I have a question. For your pick for favorite line you had Sydney saying Sloane was a pledge on her life-is that the line or is it plague on her life??? Just wondering.

Since I didn't have time to vote I'm just gonna share my thoughts now! :-)

Oh I love "Slumber My Darling" but when I think of Alias I too think of Coldplay! I'm with GS on this one "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" is my favorite Alias song of all the seasons!

Tear-jerker: Vaughn tells Sydney she has been missing for 2 years.
I just watched that last week and episode one of season three yesterday. Even though I know things turn out okay I was still crying!!! That was such a heart breaking moment.

Syd/Vaughn Moment: The Kiss and the flirting corner, you can't have one without the other, so I say both! I too adore Syd's reaction!!! It's nice to see her acting really feminine, blushing and asking for clarification even though she knows what Vaughn means but wants him to say it anyway! It's nice to see the non-kick ass side of Syd.

Line: “My loyalties are flexible.” –Sark
GS’s pick: “You are a plague on my life…” Syd’s speech to Sloane.

Both great lines, Sark's best line ever, Syd's best line to Sloane but for season two my favorite is FRANCIE: I just remembered. Francie doesn't like coffee ice cream.

Jack Moment: Jack confesses to setting up Irina and explains that his daughter believes that when he looks it her he sees all of his flaws, but that he loves her and sees in her his chance for redemption.
That was so sweet! I miss Jack!!!

Cliffhanger: “Since that night… you’ve been missing for 2 years.” Uh, yeah, cue the jaw-drop!
For me it was, "Vaughn why are you wearing that ring" I felt like it was all over then, didn't matter how long she'd been gone, she lost Vaughn!!!

I agree with you GS about Syd and Irina hugging on the roof and when Irina figures out Jack put a tracer on her.

GS’s pick: “When they lock us up in prison, I’m not giving you a drawer!”
In total agreement! Great line! I love Weiss!!! I wish we could have had more of him in season five!

dlove- Good point the Geisha was a great Alias! But I like the girl at the store more since Syd had to create it with very little. There were a lot of good ones in season two!!!

Sandi- I too love the parachute jacket that was great! It was so funny when he was freaking out on the plane. Both of those moments are my favorite!

Good new ideas Kellie! There should definitely be a best spy stunt category! I have no idea how I would choose one though since they are all so awesome!

Father/Daughter Moment:

I loved the scene where Jack, knowing that things would soon get uncomfortable for him, calmly tipped Sydney off to the fact that he/they had been compromised. I loved how calmly he delivered his line to Sydney. I loved Syd's instant recognition of the meaning of Jack's seemingly innocuous remark about taking the alternate route in. I loved the panic in Sydney when she heard those words. I loved the way she pleaded with Dixon to trust her and to help save her father's life. I loved the fact that Dixon, with his head still spinning from Sydney's revelation, did as she asked and calmly accepted what was about to happen.

What an amazing episode of Alias!
