Alias in April

Happy Monday all! Happy Monday indeed! Word is out! Kristen at EOnline has posted that Alias has been scheduled to return in April!! Here is the snippet that was posted on Alias-Media.

Kristin on E!Online has posted really great news about our beloved ALIAS. She has reported that it will return in April (she thinks April 19, but it is not yet official). It will be on Wednesday at 8 pm. It will only have 8 episodes left. It will return with a two hour night. Have four weeks of individual episodes. Then in May the two hour series fanaly will air. HOW EXCITEDING NOW WE ONLY HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH AND A HALF!!!!

I am stoked!! I moved into my brand new place this weekend. I am exhausted, but happy. I will be acquiring cable ASAP and DSL internet in order to be prepared for Alias' return and for blogging of course. Hang in there, I got a picture article on the way...

let's clear something up....we don't actually have 8 EPISODES left, we only have 8 HOURS left of Alias one of which is not a plotline show, it's an hour of recaps and highlights from over the past 5 years. So in fact the writers have 6 episodes and 7 hours of time to try and tie up all the loose ends Alias has left us with. Not nearly enough time in my book.

GS- I know we did this a while back, but we should do another blog with everyone's questions and things they would like to se answered before the finale, a running list kind of thing. I know there are TONS of things we need to cover before the end of the show.

As I understand it, there are to be 17 total episodes, with the returning episode spanning 2 hours. 9 episodes have already. So, that is technically 8 episodes, but 9 hours of Alias, and that is not including the behind-the-scenes show I have heard rumored to be in progress.

are you counting each 2 hour as 2 episodes? I was going by the article that said there would be one return episode that is 2 hours, 4 one hour epsiodes and then 1 hour of show and on recap. I wasn't counting the recap, I was counting actual episodes of storyline. Am I just confused or are we counting differently?

yes, congrats on the new place GS and thanks for posting this update! I'm groaning to have to wait another month and a half but at least we have some kind of date to look forward to.

Hey All -

What article are you referring to? I haven't heard anything about the recap show. I though Kristen just said that there were going to be 8 hours of Alias left? Can one of you give a link to the aritcle (or site a source) that says that either one of these hours is a clip show, or that there will be an extra hour of clip show?

Thanks!
M

PS: It is ridiculous that they cut the episode order from 22 to 17. I was okay with them "allowing the show to end" instead of them straight up cancelling it, but I see this, combined with the late start date, as such a passive-agressive move to end the show before the story is over. Such BS.

Still no word from ABC.
GREAT :(

I am not shocked if Kristin is right; it will take the place of some stupid ABC sitcoms at that time before Lost. However it will get slammed in the ratings as it will go up against American Idol live results show (right now that is on Thursday but when they trim it down, the result show is back back to Wed). I was hoping for that after Lost spot, since L&O got moved but Invasion must be doing a little better. But nice to finally have some news, even if maybe a tad inaccurate we shall see!!

GS - Thanks for keeping us posted - I too moved into a new place this weekend. My main concern was whether I would be able to get enough TV access via just an antenna to see the end of Alias! No need for cable, but DSL is in the works!!!
