Response Respect

Hello All,

Before I post for the day, I wanted to address an issue that has crept its way onto our happy blog. I posted an article yesterday about whether or not Sydney is in on the plot to hide Vaughn. I offered several instances where her words or actions may prove either way, but, in grand Alias form, many of the instances were too ambiguous for me, and most of you, to make a decision.

We had some wonderful responses to this post; bloggers offering up other instances, ideas and opinions that definitely supported both cases. And then...we hit a snag. I personally support freedom of speech and enjoy a sword fight of words on occasion, but please let us remember to respect each others opinions, ideas, beliefs and so forth. There is no place for personal attack here. Even if your comments are not meant as a personal attack, this is the internet, this is written word, which lacks tone and often times, context.

I hate the idea of closing the comments section on certain articles. If you would like to carry on a extended or lengthy debate with someone related to a certain topic, please exchange e-mail addresses and leave the comments section open for brief comments and exchanges.

We are all happy, Alias-loving people here. We are all emotionally invested in Sydney and Vaughn, we have strong feelings about certain plot lines and characters and yes, this is a place to share those ideas openingly and freely. But, please, lets not allow for this forum to become much like the ABC Boards, riddled with bad mouthing and defensive stands.

Okay, this is all I am going to say about this. Moving on!! Happy Happy Happy, it's Friday!!
Stay tuned for my Friday piece. Have a great weekend and happy blogging!

Sincerely (your devoted blog master),
Girlscout

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! :) I agree w/ GS, this has been such a great place to talk about Alias and I'd hate to see the issues from the ABC boards infiltrate our happy blog. That's basically the reason this blog started in the first place to get away from that. I think one key is to stay on the topic of Alias and the articles, when posts start getting off topic that's when issues can arise. Thanks GS for starting and maintaining this blog, keep up the great work!

That was one of the best rebukes I have ever seen written Girlscout. Kudos to you for leadership well done. I am very proud of you!

Seriously people. If you want to be ridiculous, go back to
http://abc.go.com/primetime/alias/index.html

Thanks, GS, for taking care of that, as Tammy said, so eloquently. Everyone take a step back... now breathe...and then dance around because we're only 45 days away! :)
