Speaking of season 1, here is one of my favorite moments and the scene of the day:
What can I say about this scene? Love. It is the most touching scene between Vaughn and Sydney in season 1. She trusts him, he cares about her and at her most vulnerable and upset (both personal and professional), Vaughn is able to pick her up.
I love the way the scene is shot, as well- with the bright lights of the ferris wheel in the background, the shadows and the crashing of the ocean. It's a moment of real life- and on Alias, those are hard to come by.

This is one of my very favorite Alias moments! In fact, probably my favorite line in all five seasons - "You just threw your beeper in the Pacific!" It makes Syd laugh even in the worst situation. I love it! :) I'm working on narrowing down my favorites for you - but I'll push to the deadline as is my usual! :)
I think that is exactly the reason why I love Season 1...for those 'real' moments. All of the effects and gadgets and exotic locations are cool, but it is Sydney's real-life moments with Francie, Will, Danny, etc. that make me watch the shows over and over again..there were so few of those in later seasons.
I tend to agree with Sandi on that. It always was the 'real' moments that made the sureal life of Sydney Bristow so beautifully conceivable.

Nicely put Robby. I agree with every fiber of my being and now I am sad. I miss Alias. Though I am not a huge fan of season 5, it had some of the best real moments. Sydney playing the tape for the baby, Jack putting together the crib, Syd and Vaughn in the car before he was killed and Syd, Vaughn and Baby Izzy in bed. Great personal, real life moments.
I miss it like everyone else here. And, I don't know how I could choose one best anything, even from just one season. However, this scene would have to be at or near the top of the list for S1. Incredible moment!
