Let's Talk Book Club

All right ya’ll- the show is over, but the stories go on. Starting this Friday, June 2nd, Let’s Talk will be launching the Alias Book Club. We will be starting with the prequel, Recruited: An Alias Prequel by Lynn Mason. The book is a glimpse inside Sydney’s first year at UCLA and her struggles as she decides whether or not to take a position at SD-6.

You can find the book at http://www.amazon.com/ for $5.99. It’s listed at a young adult reading level, which might be a little boring for some of us die hard readers, but it should be fun nonetheless.

I will be picking up my copy this Friday and will probably finish it over the weekend. I don’t expect everyone to finish in 2 days, so I will post Monday on the first part of the book.

For the complete list of Alias books, visit http://www.alias-media.com/ and click on the link “Alias Books” in the left hand column. There are 18 books listed and I hope to read them all.

Update:

Soundtracks: YAHOO! I have finished making the Alias Soundtracks! It took forever! I will be picking up padded envelopes and postage on Friday and will ship everything out later that day. You probably won’t receive them until Monday or Tuesday. I can’t wait for you guys to rock out to our fav. Alias songs!!!

T-shirt Contest: I know, I know, where are the entries? Who is the winner? Sorry! I am a horrible BlogMaster at the moment. I have been frantic trying to clean out my e-mail box and mapping out my ideas for the next phase of the blog. Bear with me. We will have a winner soon!!

OK I have a question and I don't know where it would fit in so I am asking here. What is Syd going to call Vaughn? I mean his name isn't Michael Vaughn. It isn't even close. Can someone tell me this???

I think that she will continue to call him Vaughn, that what we called him all season, despite knowing that wasn't his "real" name

Well, his name was changed, legally I guess. I mean, he Michael Vaughn has his name, so it would seem right that she would continue to call him that. Even Renee called him Michael and she knew his real name.

I always wondered why the writers gave him a new name. Sydney calling him Vaughn was such an important and special thing in their relationship- she hardly ever called him Michael. Hmm

I would be fairly certain that his name was legally changed. The CIA doesn't messaround with their background checks when someone is a new employee. When he came to work for them, they would have found out that he was not who he was telling people he was. Bill Vaughn very likely had it legally, and secretly changed when he moved to the States and started working with the CIA himself.

When he told Syd, "My name's not really Michael Vaughn," he was only beginning to tell the story, and the relevance of his name change would have been better understood in the context of telling her about his work investigating P5 had he been able to continue to explain. The name change was not really significant, but it was illustrative of how far back the problem of P5 really was, in that his father found it necessary to change his name to protect him.
Clear as mud?

I'm looking forward to the book club! I've read a couple including the first Prequel. They are very quick reads as they are actually young adult, but should be fun to talk and discuss!

I also found some Vaughn prequels, maybe we can finally get some answers about his mom!!

Going through divorce with the partner you love is like been in hell, my husband filed for a divorce without giving me reasons. I was totally down for I had no idea of what was happening and I tried to confront him to know what led to such action but he didn't give me listening ears.. I tried getting to know what happened through his family members but that didn't work either and this time was going mad about everything till I searched for help online and I came across Lord Zakuza contact number +1 (740) 573 9483 and I messaged him to let him know what I was going through and Lord Zakuza encouraged and promised to help me with his powerful spell and within 48 hours after contacting Lord Zakuza and followed all his instructions, my attorney called me to get me informed that the divorce case has been cancelled and after 30 minutes, I got a call from my husband pleading and begging for forgiveness and right now we are back together with so much love and care.
