Let's Talk Update

Hello All,

I thought I would take a moment or two to update all my little loyal bloggies on the happenings here at Let’s Talk Alias.

The blog is going strong through the winter hiatus with an average of 250 visitors per day. Many of those are return visitors, which is amazing! Thanks again to all of you who support the blog and contribute with your flavorful comments and ideas.

I am looking to give the blog an alias…aka a mini make-over. As you may have noticed, I added a series of pictures featuring JJ Abrams and JG to the header. I thought it was a great picture, perfectly representative of the blog. I plan on changing up the lay-out and format, but I am still tooling around with the features. Look forward to more links, more pictures and a more fun look. (PS. Yes, that is me in my profile picture. Stay tuned for more, as my mother thinks I need a more "intelligent" looking photo. I suppose I look more like a bar fly than a writer. HA).

As many of you may not know, I have a day job. Yes, I spend my day behind a desk, not viewing episode after episode. I am sure many of you picture me in a dark room with only my TV and DVD's. (Okay, that's me on the weekend). I am an Admin. Assistant and there are many changes going on in the office right now. That paired with coaching girls’ basketball, I am spread pretty thin. But, I always make time for the blog. I am currently working on a piece about Will Tippin. It is speculated that he will return as the series is in its final year. The piece will take a look back at Will’s character and what information he may be able to provide in APO’s current investigation into P5. I should have it finished in time for the weekend.

Blogger Jenn256 has graciously accepted my offer to become a guest writer on the blog. She always posts great questions and awesome theory. She is currently working on a piece dedicated to the Derevko sisters. Can’t wait!!

As mentioned before, Alias will return to the fold on March 2nd. That will leave us with 12 episodes. I have been brainstorming and jotting down ideas about which television series I would next like to explore via blog. I am a huge fan of Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls and Medium. All of these shows have great blog potential, but I am interested in hearing your ideas. I plan to keep Let’s Talk Alias up and running well after the series finale, but I would like to continue conversing with all of you on a show new and different. Let me know what you think!!

CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVES- Since September 2005, when Let's Talk was first started, I have posted over 100 articles related to Alias characters, plot and so forth. Take a look at the archives and see if there aren't any articles you missed or would like to add to. If you have ideas or opinions related to old posts and would like my feedback, or the feedback of other bloggers, please e-mail me. It is troublesome to sift through 100 posts and re-read comments, but I would like to hear your ideas. You can reach me at the e-mail address highlighted below.

And last, but not least…content ideas. If you have an idea for an article, or if there is an aspect of Alias you would like to see mentioned and discussed, please contact me via e-mail. Girlscout35@hotmail.com I am open to all ideas and suggestions. If you are interested in writing for the blog, send me a brief article idea.

Again, thanks to all of you who support the blog and return each day! I have met so many wonderful people here and I hope to continue chatting about our mutual obsession!! Have a great day and happy blogging!

PS. Paul and Robetron, where have you been? Miss you!

I missed the opening scene of Gilmore. The WB in my area began playing Access Hollywood again, and cut to Gilmore at the end of the first scene. I love Rory and Lorlei banter!! I was so sad.

I am here, you are saved! (Willow-joke)

With the lack of new info, I guess I haven't had much to add. Like you, I am overwhelmed with busy-ness. I too am an Administrative Assistant (though I don't coach girl's basketball). I believe I have gone through the littany of things that consume my attention before.
I confess, I have not watched much ALIAS lately. My friends seem to have kidnapped my Season 4 DVDs, and I do like to watch a few other shows: LOST, 24, Smallville, House,(I have the whole set of Friends DVDs), and someone recently turned me on to Battlestar Galactica. These are all shows I would enjoy talking about regularly, but they just do not have the complexity and mystery that ALIAS maintains. Its hard to discuss theory when the writers/ director has already told you what is happening.
I'm afraid that those girly-girl shows don't hold much appeal for me. Sorry. Grey's made me laugh a few times, but I make no effort to watch. The Gilmore stuff just seems... eh, I dunno. I'm glad y'all enjoy them, but its not for me.

Another note: this week is huge. LOST gets a new eppisode tonight. House was new last night. Smallville will be new tomorrow night. There is a two hour, two day opening of the new season of 24 this coming Sunday. Its good TV, only lacking the best of the best, ALIAS.

welcome mike, we love new posters! robetron, good to have you back. :) I honestly don't watch much tv, the only shows I watch regularly are Alias, Lost and Scrubs. I'd love a Lost blog, the ABC Lost boards are always sooooooo ridiculously busy, I can barely ever access the site and a lot of the posts are the irritating "kill off so-and-so" ones that I have no interest in. I think we could get some great discussion going if GS started a Lost blog, just my 2c. :)

Lost Blog, Lost Blog, Lost Blog!! I am soooooooo tired of the IMDB and ABC blogs about Lost. They are so pathetic and ridiculous. For instance-- last night, some guy was upset because (get this) he was an african american, gay, wheelchair-bound male and felt discriminated against because he wasn't represented on Lost and wanted to take it up with Mr. Abrams. I was like, "Oh, PLEASE!" Anyway, I love Gilmore Girls too. I'm not even onto the current seasons. I have been watching reruns on ABC Family (they are currently somewhere in S2) so I have a ways to catch up. Anyway, didn't someone say they had a Lost blog? Someone who posts on here? If so, refresh my memory. Or GS can just start one (hee hee) ;)

lhaaheim- thank you for going back and reading old posts. It is hard for me to go back through 100 posts and read all the comments. I keep a short list of popular articles and go back to them regularly. If you or anyone has an idea or comment for any old post and would like feedback, please e-mail me. That way I can respond directly and perhaps re-post the article with extended ideas.
