Update

Hello All,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine with a gaggle of friends in Seattle, partaking of the unusually humid weather and the fantastic sushi. Let's get to the updates:

Book Club
I know things have been slow around the blog as of late. I am in the midst of launching the book club and I have yet to read a significant amount of pages to give you a recap- so, hang in there. I hope to have a general overview and discussion by Wednesday. FYI: We are reading Recruited: An Alias Prequel.

DVD's
No word yet on the planned release date of the season 5 DVD. I imagine we will hear soon. My sister has lost herself in the world of Alias...again. She pulled an all-night Alias marathon on Saturday night, finishing all of season 3 and the first half of season 4. When she picked me up from the ferry the car was rattling with Alias tunes. I need to dive back in to my favorite seasons, but I want to finish the book first.

Tunes
Okay- I am on to the second batch of CD's. I finished the first 15 copies, now I have about 10 more, so about 20 CD's. I should have those finished, packed and posted by Friday. You should all be receiving your Alias music orders in the next couple of days. The post office said it might take longer than regular mail because of the odd size of the packages. So, it might take as long as next week.

Crosswords
I am obsessed. I really can't stop. Be expecting more crosswords in the weeks to come. You are welcome to ask questions or request clues if you get stumped. Have fun!!

All right, here is a good week of talk. Any suggestions for topics?? Let me know!

GS,
Here is an article suggestion. Go back to S-5 Ep-1 "Prophet 5" and break down the conversation Syd & Vaughn had with Lehman. The more I listen closely, the more I understand what was happening in some of the other episodes. The book he sent Vaughn to retrieve was "some sort of advanced genetics." P5 stole it when they shot Vaughn by the railcars. The next thing we know they want a strange box with a subject that has been genetically altered. Then later, they have the technology that is vastly better than the original Helix Protocol. Can we suppose their tech-knowledge came from that book?

hi all, I started my new job last week which is why I haven't been around much. I also don't own any of the books and at the moment don't have plans to buy them...maybe I should look into getting one of those fabulous things they call a "library membership"... hope everyone's doing well, I just checked out amazon and they don't have Alias season 5 listed yet (like GS said). I was able to preorder my season 4 last year in July though for a good price, so maybe in another month...

Hey SRG! Long time! Glad to hear things are going well. I will keep checking back with Amazon. My season 4 only cost 35.00 when I ordered it ahead of time.

Great question Uncle Gnome. I've wondered that myself. Arvin did claim he could "help" Jack when he was dying. Perhaps, there was even more power associated with the immortality than cheeting death. Maybe he had the power to give life back to those who were dead. In which case, we may see ole Jack again if Arvin can wriggle loose of his stone snare.

I honestly thought it was the red goo pool that brought Sloane back to life, so when he offerred to help Jack, I figured he'd just basically dunk Jack in the pool and he'd also be immortal, but obviously Jack was too sane and moral to take advantage of that.
