Down for the Count

40 days and then ALIAS, ALIAS, ALIAS!

Again, a thanks to SRG-Alias for posting while I was away. I have asked her to continue posting and if any of you out there have any ideas for articles or pictures you would like to see posted, please contact us at

I have seen several commercials for JJ's new show, What about Brian? It looks great. I never thought 7th Heaven was a good fit for Barry Watson, but it looks like this role might be perfect for him. Also, I heard The Unit (CBS) starring JG ex, Scott Foley, did well in the ratings after it's first episode. I am still on the fence. Perhaps I should take a gander.

I have taken an interest in the show The Evidence, starring Rob Estes (hot!) and Orlando Jones. It seems like your typical cop show, but the audience is given all the evidence to solve the crime along with the detectives. Should be interesting, as I love a good crime drama and solving puzzles is what I live for (hence, my Alias obsession). The show airs Wednesdays at 10pm starting March 22nd.

I am thinking it may be best for me to get addicted to another show before Alias starts. Perhaps the sting of the finale won't hurt so bad if I have another show to fall back on. So, I am keeping my eyes peeled for a fast-action, crime or spy drama that may be new this season. I love Grey's and Gilmore and of course the fabulousness that is Without a Trace and Cold Case, but I suppose I am looking for another Alias (yeah right, that will never happen).

Happy blogging and don't forget to check out the picture article below, written by my very first blogger, SRG!

I would recommend Battlestar Galactica, it's very different from the rest of the shows Sci-fi offers and it's similar to Alias in a lot of ways. It's my second favorite show now and will Alias ending it will probably become first in shows that are still on. You can download episodes of Battlestar Galactica on iTunes and you can probably rent the DVD's at Blockbuster. It's certainly worth watching a few times to see if you like it.

I agree with Ihaaheim Battlestar is a very excellent show great writing, acting and music. Also 24 dude the next best thing on T.V. I know you said that you're going to focus on that when Alias ends am I right? Very good choice and it's current 5th season is frakkin' awesome.

I wholeheartedly concur.

Battlestar Galactica is my number 2 show, and with Alias not being on the air, it is numero uno.

Folks, this is not your parent's old BSG from the 70's. The writers took the story-telling method from Hill Street Blues. There is an A-story that drives the main story in the empisode, and is usually self-contained (keeping the exec's happy); There is several B-stories that run simultaniously through several episodes (maintaining the interest level and intensity); and, of course, C-stories that flow throughout the overall show and through every season (maintaining continuity). This is very ALIAS-esque, and I know Alias-lovers will find themselves infatuated with BSG.

I highly recomend watching the 1st season after the mini-series (which comes with season one) on DVD. Then get caught up to the best of your ability on season 2. Half the season is already available on DVD. I do not know how they will handle the realase of the second half, but as of tonight (Friday), the season is over. It should be available soon.

If you download episodes, warm up whatever device you are using because this show is cool.

In anticipation of ALIAS' return,

Just wanted to add that I finished watching Battlestar Galactica's season finale; my gosh I am speechless and have no idea what to do with myself. The last time I was this confused, distraught, yet excited about a show's season finale was with Alias's season 2 and 4 finales. The quality of Battlestar Galactica is equal to that of Alias. If you have not seen it, go to iTunes or a video store and watch the first season and mini-series. If you don't give it a chance you will probably regret it later. I started watching Alias season 2 and my gosh I so wish I had tuned in when it first came on. By the way if anyone here say the finale and has theories about what's next please e-mail me at; I would love to discuss them. Hope you all have a great day!

You are so right, Ihaaheim.

I'll send you an e-mail to keep from getting off topic on these boards.
