Back to the Beginning

Is anyone else as bored as I am? I feel like a comedian with no new material!! So, I am going back to the old material, as in season 1, baby! Yes, folks, we are going back, all the way back to the beginning. Starting with tomorrow's post, I will be reviewing season 1 episodes. I am hoping by the end of the hiatus that we will have covered seasons 1-4. This will give us a chance to talk about character development, what plot lines worked and which didn't and rediscover the fabulousness that is Alias!

So, pop in your season 1 DVD tonight. Take some notes. I'll post a brief synopsis and any new and fun information I discover.

I've already started doing that like 2 months ago (October 1st to be exact-the day Sydney & Vaughn met!) I'm almost done with Season 3 and will start watching Season 4 soon. I haven't seen any of the Season 4 DVDs or Special Features yet, so I'm excited to watch it. Can't wait to hear your comments about past episodes. This will be fun and exciting!

Oh, good. I thought people would think it's boring. But I love going back. Now if I can get my hands on my sister's copy of season 1. I have only purchased season 4, so I am a little behind. But, I do have a photographic memory, so each episode (that I have seen 7 times each) is burned into my brain.

I also think this is a wonderful idea! This will certainly be a great way to pass time until March (seems so far away!) It is interesting to go back and see the characters back then, knowing what you know about them now. I think if we all do this, we may be able to pick up on a lot of things that at the time didn't really mean much, but now may give us more clues (or create more questions!) I also think this will help make our list longer of questions we want answered before then end!

GS,
I really want to get caught up reading your recent topics and comment, but my business has been busy for Christmas and I'm working about 12 hours/day and 7 days/week. The nice thing is that I can usually run through several episodes of Alias each day during certain parts of my work.
I already have notes from all of S1. Would you like me to email them to you or post them under one of the topics? I can do it any number of episodes at a time. Let me know what you would like.

I started watching Season 1 last night. I caught one interesting thing I'd never noticed. When we first meet Marshall, he is explaining his lipstick spacial camera. He says "it's got 42 snaps right now, but I want to get it to 47 - because it's a prime number..." 47 - the first mention of that number, to come up over and over and over again! Kinda cool!

birds of a feather I guess... my friends and I started doing this a few weeks ago too... we had the same idea that we'd end up in a perfect position after the hiatus.... we're trying to keep track of all the questions we have for each episode on an excel sheet, and then seeing if they are ever answered... yes, i'm a geek. :)

Nice M, good idea! No geeks here, just super fans. There was an article released today with an interview with JG about the ending of the show. She said Alias appreciates that fans that "get it" that stuck with it. I guess that would be us!

we have to find a way to get JJ and JG to read your blog - wouldn't it be crazy? you know a lot of writers/actors DO take time to read fan stuff.....?? how cool would that be???

anyways i just started season 1 again in november and i believe it is going to be the 10th + time i have watched it. i can pretty much quote them all word for word and i am watching it with a new alias fan which is really fun - she's never seen any of the ep's so it is a really awesome experience to watch her get attached to syd like i am(:
