Scene Cap of the Morning

See, I thought the black one was fine, too.

Um, greatest opening sequence on television EVER! Right after the Super Bowl, millions of fans tuned in to watch Syd kick some ass- in her underwear. Awesome! I absolutely love this episode, especially the fight sequences and the costume change. What to do when a jet-setting big man comes after you at 20,000 feet? Shoot the airplane windows out and hope for the best... or a parachute. The shrimp cocktail crook is assigned to watch over Server 47, the server that holds all the secrets to the Alliance. Sydney and the gang are in hot pursuit of the hard drive in order to bring down both SD-6 and the wall keeping Sydney and Vaughn apart. I love how excited and enthusiastic Sydney and Vaughn are this whole episode. They bounce around like kids on pixie sticks. They are soooo cute!

We re-live this scene later, with Vaughn and Weiss in juxtaposition. I love their reactions, I love their commentary. I love love love love love. Yes, I do!

Amazing work by the writers, directors, stunt coordinators, the actors (Oh, JG how we love you, let us count the ways. And Mr. Vartan, we cannot even begin to count the many ways we love you!). Awesome opening, awesome scene, awesome eppy that all leads to the end of SD-6.

I am a married girl, but I thought this was the hottest she ever looked on the show. She is just incredible - I cannot imagine being in that kind of shape. I LOVED the special effects of her flying out of the plane after she opened the door. Not that that was real, but if anyone has ever done anything like that, it would be absolutely terrifying! This is definitely on the list of top coolest Alias missions ever. What more can be said? Plus it brought down SD-6.

yeah hottt...I'm like kellie in that I'm a straight girl, but man is she hot in the eppy (really the whole show but especially that scene). :) I didn't get to vote in the season 2 pole but my fav line from that season is definitely "what was wrong with the black one??"

The direction, acting and writing of that episode has to be one of the best of TV EVER, and no, I'm not exagerating. I never get sick of watching it and look forward to it everytime I start watching season 2 (which I'm currently doing). :)

Sydney could wear Arvin Sloane's glasses and a crumpled, inside out Hefty Bag and still look piping hot to these appreciative eyes.

I saw Sydney at the Red Sox game on the tube Sunday night. She was posing as the wife of a movie "star". Obviously an important mission. I think the homeplate umpire may have been K-Directorate.

I know, I know, I'm clutching at Alias straws. Let me have my little fantasy.

That's so funny you mentioned that Page48. I realized, I have never called Jennifer Sydney outside of the show. Not even by accident. Though it would be hard to divde the 2 because Jennifer played Sydney for so long, she's still just Jen. It's funny though because I will watch her play another character and she will do "Sydney" things. Especially as Elektra- that same bad-ass, attitude with no fear. Syd-isms I guess.

Oh, when Sydney laughs at Vaughn in the car about changing diapers and how they will have to call Marshall, she does a Jennifer laugh. So funny!

GS, the thing about Jen/Syd being interchangeable is that it may only be temporary. Jennifer is still young enough by far, that years from now, we may not look back at Sydney as being the defining role of her career. She might do a 10 year run as Mary Ellen in a remake of the Waltons for all we know. I find it hard to believe that I could ever see JG at a Red Sox game and say, "oh, look, it's Mary Ellen".

Somewhere out there, I hope there is another great role waiting in the wings for JG and I hope it doesn't take her forever to find it.

I was thinking about this scene cap as I was driving today and that Lenny Kravitz song "Lady" came on the radio and suddenly I remembered the whole Season 4 promo when they played that song and how excited I got watching the promo over and over again. What a great song - I love Lenny... and Alias too.
